Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Ultra Review 2026
Unboxing & Design: Thin, Metal, and Premium
The first thing you’ll notice is the box—it’s slim and unassuming. Inside, you get the laptop, a Type-C to Type-C cable, and a 140W USB-C charging brick. This “brick” is hefty, but for a good reason: it’s pushing serious power to some high-end internals.
The laptop itself is a marvel of engineering. At just 15.4mm thin, it’s incredibly sleek, though don’t let the profile fool you—it’s not a featherweight. Coming in at 1.85kg (approx. 4 lbs), it feels solid and premium thanks to its full aluminum build.
The Port Situation: Unlike many modern “thin” laptops that force you into dongle-life, the Book 6 Ultra stays practical:
HDMI port
2x USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4)
USB Type-A
MicroSD card slot
3.5mm Headphone jack
Performance: Enter Panther Lake
This is where things get “crazy.” The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is the first laptop in India to feature the latest Intel Panther Lake chipset (Core 7 Ultra 356H). Built on a cutting-edge 1.8nm fabrication process, this processor is designed for two things: extreme power and surprising efficiency.
Graphics: It packs a dedicated NVIDIA RTX 5070, making it a beast for both gaming and heavy-duty creative work.
Memory: 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM (soldered) comes standard across the board.
Storage: The SSD is lightning fast, hitting data throughput speeds of up to 66.5Gbps.
Real-World Testing: We pushed this machine to the limit. In GTA 5, we saw a consistent 120FPS at 3K resolution. Even a demanding title like Death Stranding ran smoothly at 70-80FPS.
A Display to Die For
If you’ve seen the display on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, you already know what to expect. This 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display is gorgeous.
Resolution: 3.2K with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
Brightness: 1000 nits (perfect for bright environments).
Protection: Gorilla Glass.
Refresh Rate: Variable up to 120Hz.
The color accuracy is top-tier, supporting Adobe RGB and DCI-P3, making it a dream for photo and video editors. My only small gripe? The 240Hz PWM dimming. If you’re sensitive to screen flicker in low light, a higher frequency would have been welcome, but for most users, this won’t be an issue.
The AI & Ecosystem Advantage
In 2026, AI is the name of the game. The NPU here delivers 50 TOPs, allowing you to run AI models locally. We tested a 6-billion parameter LLM and got a snappy 75 tokens per second.
If you already own a Samsung phone, the Galaxy Ecosystem features are a game-changer. You can:
Use your Galaxy phone as a webcam.
Seamlessly share files via Quick Share.
Control your phone directly from the laptop trackpad.
Sync Samsung Notes and settings instantly.
Battery Life & Thermals
Samsung squeezed a massive 80.2Wh battery into this thin chassis. Thanks to the efficiency of the 1.8nm Intel chip, you can expect 15-16 hours of normal usage. And if you’re in a rush, the 140W charger gets you to 70% in just 30 minutes.
To keep things cool, Samsung enlarged the vapor cooling chamber by 35% over last year. Even under heavy AI workloads, we didn’t see any significant thermal throttling—though you will definitely hear those dual fans kicking in when the RTX 5070 starts sweating!
The Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is easily one of the best multimedia and performance machines in the Windows world right now. It ticks almost every box: a world-class display, industry-leading Intel power, and a haptic trackpad that is as big as it is responsive.
If you’re deep in the Samsung ecosystem and need a “do-it-all” powerhouse for editing, gaming, and AI, this is the one to beat.
What do you think? Does the 3.2K AMOLED display justify the Ultra price tag for you? Let me know in the comments!
