Moto’s G series is the highest selling and rating series. Moto has upgraded many things in this phone like refresh rate, new sensor from Sony company in camera, new chipset for performance and has also made the battery bigger. Moto g96 5g phone comes with Type A to C cable, 33W charger and a sim ejector. The back of the phone is made of vegan leather, its frame is made of polycarbonate, the thickness of the phone is 7.93 MM and its weight is around 174 grams.

Talking about the color variants, there are total four colors in this series: Pantone Dresden blue, Pantone Ashleigh blue, Pantone Cattleya Orchid and Greener Pasture, and this phone is also IP 68 certified. Its right side has volume button, power on/off button, air vent, on the top side there is noise cancellation, on the bottom side there is speaker, type-C port, microphone and sim card tray in which support for dual nano sim is seen. It has stereo speakers and also supports dolby atmos.

Software & features
It has moto’s hello UI which is based on Android 15. It comes with one year major update and 3 years security update. It has moto features like smart connect 2.0 family space and moto secure, along with Ai features like Ai photo enhancer, Ai super zoom, Ai magic eraser and Ai magic editor. Connectivity supports dual band wifi and bluetooth version 5.2.
Display quality
Its display is curved display, 6.67 inch FHD+ pOLED 3D curved display. Its high brightness is up to 1200 nits and peak brightness goes up to 1600 nits. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz and Corning Glass 5 is installed. Screen to body ratio is 92.77%. The phone has a 10 bit display and Motorola has used display color booster in it due to which the colors look boosted when any content is viewed in it. Its display is SGS eyes protection and flicker free certified. Due to which if you watch a movie etc. in the dark, then there is less damage to the eyes.
Camera performance
On the back side there is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C (OIS) primary camera, 8MP Ultra + Macro camera and a 32MP selfie camera in the front. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K 30FPS video recording. Many features are available in Camera UI like slow motion, pro, photo, video, portrait and more like scan, panorama night vision, dual video. There are three modes in Portrait 24mm, 35mm and 50mm. In Portrait photo quality, it softens the details of photo a bit and makes the skin tone slightly warm. Edge detection is also fine. In Normal mode, it slightly shifts the color from portrait mode. Overall the phone is fine for taking normal photos.
If seen, Motorola has updated it to a great extent from the previous mobile like it is IP68 certified, battery performance has been increased, camera quality has been enhanced. Overall moto user can buy a good phone under ₹20,000.
Nice breakdown! The inclusion of IP68 certification and Dolby Atmos at this price point really sets the G96 5G apart. Though it sticks with LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2, those seem like smart compromises to keep it budget-friendly while still offering solid performance.
